Millennium Park Art and Architecture Walking Tour

Crown Fountain, Lurie Garden, Pritzker Pavilion, Cloud Gate, Millennium Monument

Millennium Park is the most visited park in the Midwest for good reason. It was meticulously planned by artists, landscapers, designers, and architects that are internationally renowned in their fields. They came from around the world to create works that allow people to enjoy nature and be in a community in the Windy City. During this tour, we walk you through the history of the artists that created this space. You’ll get to enjoy the thoughtful art that is permanently installed throughout the park and learn how it was built. This tour goes far beyond “the Bean” and dives into one of Chicago’s most important accomplishments in recent history. During this tour, you’ll get to:

  • Learn the meanings behind pieces like the Crown Fountain, and Cloud Gate
  • Understand how structures in Millennium Park reflect Chicago history
  • Hear the background of the people and resources that created the park
